Muddy Fun and a Pretty Freebie Too

Miss me? I have been busy scrapping, dealing with computer woes again (same problem as before - my laptop is at the manufacturer for repair AGAIN!), and taking care of a little one with strep throat. Poor guy - he is so miserable and lethargic it almost makes me miss his mischievous ways. But never fear, his sister has been mischievous enough for the both of them the last two weeks.

Want to see what have I been scrapping?

First I worked with the new collab at Pretty Scrappy called Rough and Tumble. I made a couple of quickpages which are included in the 21-Page Quickpage Album that is free with a $15 purchase at Pretty Scrappy for the next couple of weeks. One of them I haven't finished the journaling on yet so it isn't shown here.

This one is a two page spread from our family reunion last year. I am so glad these kids weren't getting in my car to go home! The second page of this is part of the quickpage album at PS.

Then after all those boys pages I had done, I thought it was time to pretty it up a little. Julie. Itis.'s sweet new kit, Lovebug Serenade was just the change I was looking for.

There was a challenge at Pretty Scrappy that had a template by Teri Mayo to make a Starbucks coffee cup tumbler which looked interesting. I am more of hot chocolate kind of girl and have only been to Starbucks once in my life because of that, so I decided to make it a layout instead.

Then it was time for something a little bolder (and in my favorite color combo too). I got the new kit, Music of the Soul by Darhena from My Scrap Shop.

Apparently though, I still wasn't ready to give up on pretty yet so I made this layout for one of the new challenges at My Scrap Shop. The prize this month made by Pillowgirl is awesome and I had one more part to get the whole kit so I figured why not do the poetry challenge. The poem I used for this is by Thena Smith, whom I got a chance to chat with through the Technique Challenge at Hummie's a couple of months ago. Thena is such a sweet lady and has some very inspirational poetry both on her blog and in the several books she has published. She is sure to inspire you to make some layouts that will be cherished for years to come.

I did Round 1 of the ADSR challenge which was at Hummie's even though I am not in the race. I used Fruit Stripe Summer by Julie. It is. and the torn paper templates by Hummie (which I modified) for this.

The prize for the challenge which she also opened up to non-racers were four templates. Some of them you already saw last post because she gave them out at the New Year's Eve chat. This one was Template 48. I used Darhena's Music of the Soul for it as well.
I was also inspired by a remake I saw for Challenge 3 on the ADSR (Hi Dani!) :) and so I redid the cover for my daughter's baby book - again.

I made this one into a quickpage for you. You can get it here.

New link to site other than 4shared is here:

Hope you have a great weekend.

Baby Boy Layouts and PhotoOp Quickpage Freebie

So did you survive the holiday season and now have everything all put away and ready to do it again next year? I posted some of the many pictures I took over on my family photo blog but still have many more to post. It told me I had reached my upload limit for the month so I had to wait until the first before I could post again. I managaed to get some scrapping done, mostly while traveling last week. I have been working on my son's baby book. I found some missing pictures a few months ago that never made it to my computer so I needed to get those scrapped since I had already completed that part of his book.

Here is what I got done in no particular order . . .

This one was done using Back to School papers and Felty Frames both by Julie. It is.

This one was done using Industrial Elf by Julie. It is.

I used the Tis the Season Collab by Peppermint Patty Productions and Pillowgirl.

I used Christmas in June again by Kikkin Kreations for this one.

This was done using some things I made for a collab I was working on last summer that fell through. I named my part of the kit Summer Road Trip.

I love this picture of my son. He is so happy! I need to go back and fix the red eye on the picture though. It was made using RazMaTazz by Julie. It is.

For this one, I used Tis the Season by Peppermint Patty Productions and Pillowgirl Scraps.

Hummie had an impromptu chat on New Year's eve and I got this one done.

I mentioned to someone at the chat that I was looking for something techie to scrap the pictures I was working on and she immediately recommended Techno-Bytes by Lindsay Jane. It was perfect and on sale too so I just had to get it!

This one I did for the January 1-15 Template Challenge at My Scrap Shop.

I used the I Love Music Collab Freebie by MCA Designs and Sir Scrapalot.

While I was gone, Julie released this new kit which I just adore!

It was perfect for a layout for my Themed Quote Challenge at Hummie's World this month which is on hobbies. Here is the layout I did today for that.

Oh, wait, that isn't my layout. That is a freebie for you.

Link to download on a site other than 4Shared is here.

Here is my layout. The challenge was to use a quote about a particular hobby you love (e.g. scrapbooking, photography) or hobbies in general. I chose photography. What about you? Got a hobby you love and want to scrap about? Be sure to checkout the quote challenge and you can even get a posting bonus made by KathyJ for posting your layout.

This was done using PhotoOp by Julie. It is. Be sure to stop by her blog she has a free alpha there to match it.

I did actually get one page done in baby girl's book. This was done using Template 47 by Hummie which she also gave out at her New Year's Eve chat.

I used Playful from Kelly Shults which I got from Scrapwow for this one.

I hope you New Year has started off fabulously!
